Congratulations my top 3 blog choices are
Top 3 Blogs
In no particular order
below is my top three blog I have to admit I envy their dedication and their enthusiasm
about their company. I have to say I on the other hand since this all new to me
which shouldn’t be the excuse I find it hard to connect to my company and my
blog, maybe because it’s an assessment for an accounting subject or just scared
venturing to new unfamiliar media and form of assessment.
Renae Gordon Lady of
Ledgers
Renae is just wow! The
way she presented her blog you could tell her enthusiasm and enjoyed what she’s
doing. Well researched a lot of hours went into her blog page and it shows.
Very informative, she even have graphs to help her viewers like me who is new
to accounting to understand the spreadsheet. Since I’m new to accounting and
cringe at the thought of studying this subject and get tired looking through my
own company’s spreadsheet and understanding it looking at her graph is just a
little bit easy to take in. Love how Renae inserts accounting humour with her
blogs. This just shows that you can have fun while accounting. It show’s that
she really read the annual financial report from front to back.
Nicholas Gregory
Nicholas blog is easy to
read. Another well researched and informative blog. From reading his blog you
can tell that like Renae he also put a lot of hours into his blog. Read his
company’s financial report nad dissect good informations out of it and relay it
back to his blog which made it a lot
easier to understand for his viewers. Nicholas blog is very straight forward
and to the point like how it look so simply and easy on the eye due to he doesn’t
have any colourful background that can take your mind of what is into the blog.
Christyn Kelly
I find Christyn blog
really good. I like how she added her personal interest and love for cats that
she actually searched the web for accounting humour with cat images. Like the previous
two blogs that I mentioned, I like how it shows that a lot of man hours went
into this blog with the extent of her blog information. I find her background
to be fitting her company the Hong Kong exchanges. Another well researched
blog.

Revenue is up for Berendsen PLC
Below is the copy and paste of the recent news article from the UK finance posted on the 19th November 2015. As it shows its another good year for Berendsen PLC with a good results that shows on their 2014 annual report. Despite the economic backdrop in Europe Berendsen PLC has found ways to grow and improve its revenue and profitability. Just like what the UK finance stated the group underlying revenue was up by 3% and underlying operating profit by 6%.

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Berendsen (LSE: BRSN.L - news) has seen a boost in underlying revenue and operating profit growth since its half year results, but has warned about the ongoing effect of exchange rates. The FTSE 250 textile services company issued a trading update on Thursday for July to October.
Group underlying revenue was up 3% compared to the same period in 2014, and underlying group operating profit was "well ahead".
While revenue growth was at 2.4% for the year to date at constant exchange rates, foreign exchange did take its toll, with reported revenue down 4%.
"Our reported results continue to be adversely impacted by currency translation and we see little sign of this diminishing," it warned.
"However, as previously guided, the board expects the group to achieve a further year of good underlying progress." The company said trading during the period was in line with management's expectations with good progress in its workwear division, particularly in Germany with growth in revenue and market share.
The sale of one of the company's UK Workwear sites also offset the £2.1m closure costs of the Croydon plant announced earlier this year.

Week One done and dusted
Welcome to week 2. Week one has been a new learning experience for me. First I try and familiarise myself in blogging and secondly using peerwise. Both blogging and using peerwise is a for me. First time ever in my history of studying at CQU that i'm on on the same track as everyone else. Normally I either do all my assessment a week before it's due. Now i'm allowing myself and giving my assessment enough study time, I'm not trying to aim for the HD but i'm just aiming and trying to better and set myself and change my mannerism in tackling assessment because obviously in the real work environment I can't procrastinate.
On the lighter side week one done and dusted, read the study guide chapter one, posted my questions and answered the required amount of questions for the week, and of course Assignment 1 Step:1 is done. Have a good week 2 everyone and I just do hope I don't fall in the crack and find myself cramping everything again in the last minute.
A little motivational photo for all the girls :).

Welcome
Welcome to my Blog
My name is Stephanie Catalan and I am a full-time mother to my adorable terror two year old son. Currently unemployed and just focusing on finishing my study. I am currently taking a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Management and Logistics.
I am not a blogger, this is the first time and all new experience for me. Accounting, every time I hear or say that word I admit I get a little scared. I've never been good with numbers. Math is not my strength, at my previous job as a supervisor at the cinema balancing the petty cash is an achievement and a fist pump in the air hahaha...
